Tony Flores is an avid parent volunteer at his children’s school over the last seven years and an Assistant Cubmaster. He pays attention to the money trail, educational and safety programs. He has a heart for students, teachers, and administrators, willingly giving of his time for not only his children’s education, but the education for ALL students in Chino Valley. Tony has served on School Site Councils, School Safety Committees, other district committees, and the District’s LCAP (Local Control Accountability Plan) Parent Advisory Committee full of questions, ideas, and suggestions for the betterment of educational programs at the site and district level.
Mr. Flores not only started a chapter of the national parent engagement program, ALL PRO DADS, but he also single-handedly nudged the district’s Risk Management Department to provide emergency disaster materials for all of the schools and classrooms this past year to the tune of $300,000. In 2019 Mr. Flores received the COAT Award (the Service Center One Community Outreach Action Team) by (ACT) Associated Chino Teachers. This dad is an extraordinary person who engages with his children’s school and our district! While volunteering at the Chino Branch Library, he nudged the City and County to renovate the entire library. The Grand Re-Opening was Spring 2020.
Tony and his wife Mi reside in Chino and have two wonderful children that play piano. Their daughter enjoys Girl Scouts and son enjoys Cub Scouts.
